Yeah, I just saw it recently myself on the tele. I was shocked being a long time The The fan. Not great to see it farmed out for a candy commercial...however there is something darkly ironic when you consider the lyrics, which the commercial doesn’t play in it’s entirety, of course! Almost seems like an inside joke. Candy...this is the day your life will surely change. Ouch.
